In certain situations, you ask to see a sign to guide you in the right direction. Sometimes these calls to a higher power are answered, and sometimes we are left to seek counsel from within. But if you look for them, the signs will usually present themselves to those with open eyes. These were some of those moments when the signs could not have been any clearer…

AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME: PART 2
Some of my fondest memories volunteering abroad were families that we built homes for in Malawi through Habitat for Humanity. As part of the Orphans and Vulnerable Children Project, our Canadian team built homes for two beautiful families in the town of Geregere. Here are photos of our progress from Days 6 through 8 that includes laying brick floors, plastering walls and assisting with the roof. Malawi is simply Malawi: simply authentic, ignorantly stubborn, perfectly content and strikingly beautiful. And I love it!

We hope to launch ROOF UP MALAWI in 2017, an initiative to provide new roofs for 100 families. We will update you on our progress.
AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME: PART 1
Our Habitat for Humanity trip to Malawi was humbling and very rewarding. As part of the Orphans and Vulnerable Children Project, our Canadian team built homes for two beautiful families. Here are photos of our progress from Days 1 through 5 that included brick laying and more brick laying and even more brick laying. By the middle of Day 4, we finished all the walls. And by Day 5, we were helping with the roofing and the brick floors. Malawi is simply Malawi: simply authentic, ignorantly stubborn, perfectly content and strikingly beautiful. And I love it!
